Patrice is a wine lover with more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience working with a myriad of organizations. In 2005 she founded 1865 Company and launched the first wine club featuring wine from black vintners. Years later she spun off cultural winery tour and destination event company Soul of Sonoma and now hosts a premium annual wine festival on Martha’s Vineyard. Patrice earned her B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California and holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. She resides in Washington D.C.
JAMILA MORGAN LAKE
CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER (CXO)
Jamila delivers customer-focused services and oversees the multiple touch points that clients will remember in their tasting experiences, tours, and private events. These include assisting with wine and venue selection as well as food pairing recommendations. When not serving Soul of Sonoma clients, Jamila is an experienced health insurance benefits professional who manages benefits for both the insurance carrier and broker consultants. Jamila earned a B.A. in Communications from Howard University.

Lakethia oversees the creation of a personalized menus to complement curated wine selections. From our exquisite charcuterie board, small plates, or a chef prepared multi-course meals Lakethia creates compelling culinary experiences that makes SoS tastings unforgettable. Lakethia is a foodie who also loves to cook and bake for her husband and daughter. Lakethia is a consummate professional, She holds a Doctorate in Health Administration from Capella University and has an M.A. in Leadership from St. Mary’s College of California.

WINE EDUCATOR
Nicole holds a WSET 2 award in wine and is a candidate for the Certified Specialist of Wine. She created Vintnoir, a tasting and wine education brand that highlights wine from Black vintners, negociants and merchants. Nicole enhances the Soul of Sonoma wine experience for clients, in person or virtual by sharing her knowledge of tasting and evaluating wine. She is committed to SoS clients abreast of premium and emerging vintages,
